The thing about change is, most of the time we think it is harder than just forgetting about it. Satiating in whatever we like to do: drink, smoke, sex, drugs, video games, whatever. Some of the satiating activities are harder to nail down, because we can actually satiate in thing that are good for us! (like working out) But, I notice that I often feel a strong impulse to go satiate in something rather than change my inner feelings and my inner state, as if that change is really tough. But it’s not! You can change it, it’s just a choice, and then the thing you were suffering about in the first place becomes so much smaller and more realistic; you can see it more for what it is, rather than as this huge object of your suffering.
Still, even though I have lots of evidence to prove that changing my own perspective, my own self rather than just going and satiating in something actually isn’t that hard, and ends up bringing me much more of what I want out of my life, I still notice I have this long-held belief that change is hard, too much, or just not worth it. Funny, hey?
I’ve been thinking a lot about my next record, and I want to make something that has more of an R&B feel to it. I loved making Magic Spell (Compelx State Of Attachment’s first single) and I want to make more music that has that feel to it.
I’m also thinking about recording one or two covers. Possibilities include Living For The City by Stevie Wonder, and possibly cover an old jazz standard a la 60’s Motown.

Hi everyone! I have just gotten back to North America, after having spent the last 2 months in Dublin Ireland shooting one of the new lead roles on the Showtime series The Tudors. I’ve had an amazing time, and I have some V-logs that I will post ASAP!
