The Tudors is premiering in Canada in September, so I’ll be doing a bunch of press for the show in the next month or so. Look for stuff to be posted in a bunch of different places, I’ll try to link as much of it as I can. If you see something, be sure to post it up here on the site!
Also, how is the Street Team coming along guys? Still having problems?

How do you be yourself? I thought for the longest time that you could be yourself and not really feel yourself. Like, you could kind of stay in your head and just be really intellectual and smart and that you could have a full existence and be happy. But the thing is, emotions are felt in the body. And the mind and body are most undoubtably connected (if you doubt this, examine the area between your head and chest called your NECK.) I have never felt totally comfortable when I am aware or acknowledging the feelings in my body. In an attempt to not feel the less comfortable feelings of emotions that might not be pleasant, I have tried to cut off the feelings of my body and live purely by controlling my mind.
The thing about this is, it’s kind of like throwing the baby out with the bathwater. You get the benefit (if it really is a benefit) of never feeling uncomfortable (although I suspect this is not really possible ultimately.) And you get the drawback of not really experiencing what it is to be human. That’s kind of a harsh trade-off, isn’t it?
So I’ve been connecting with myself. Challenging myself to feel what it feels like to be me, and not just to think about what it’s like. And I have realized that everything that is me is intimately linked with my body and how I feel.
No matter how much you try to convince yourself that you think a certain way about something, in your body you will unfailingly find your true point of view about anything you experience about yourself and reality. That has become a very high value of mine, as everything that I do depends on being me. Indeed, my experience of myself is all that I ultimately ever have.
